The date decided for the launch is 10th January, 2011. The rear of the car resembles a bit of Audi A4 but the fronterior has a look of its own own and very stylish. This launch is company's move to compete against its contemporaries like Mercedes S Class and BMW 7 series. The new Audi A8 to be available in both petrol and diesel variants will be priced at 91 lac and 76.5 lac respectively, both being ex-showroom prices in Mumbai. This new car from Audi will have a 4.2L FSI V8 engine (petrol) churning a maximum output of 367 bhp and a top torque of 445 Nm. The diesel version of Audi A8 to follow will be powered by a 3.0L TDI V6 engine developing a maximum power of 247 bhp with a peak torque of 550 Nm. Another variant in the Audi A8 with more power will be launched within the second quarter of 2011 which would deliver massive output of 493 bhp and a maximum torque of 625 Nm.

15 March 2010 - Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL) has shooted two new variants of its most acknowledged ex-launched Fiat Punto called “1.2 Dynamic” and "1.2 Emotion" on March 15, 2010. These new variants will be powered by the 1.2L, FIRE petrol engine and will carry the same features like "1.4 Dynamic" and "1.4 Emotion". With the launch of these two variants, Fiat has phased out one its variant - "1.4 Emotion" due to its faded sales.

September 28, 2010 - India’s car market leader Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Demo Maruti SX4 and Maruti Eeco Charge Electric concepts that are to be used in Delhi Commonwealth Games, 2010. Both the vehicles were displayed at Delhi Auto Expo, 2010. The new Maruti SX4 hybrid is packed with a 1.2 litre K-series petrol engine and a 50 kW electric motor which are mated to a five speed automated manual gearbox. The car can be run only on electric motor mode that enhances fuel economy and emits zero emissions. Added to that, the car is cheaper by up to 25 per cent than petrol one when hybrid mode is selected. The commercial launch of the car might take place in the near future as well.
August 13, 2010 - Maruti has come up with a CNG fitted Maruti SX4 variant in India to win hearts of mileage conscious car lovers. The car has been equipped with advanced CNG factory fitted kit which promises overall engine performance to be higher, especially the mileage and power. 23 September, 2010 - The second largest car maker in India, Hyundai Motor India, on Thursday launched facelifted new Hyundai i10. The new Hyundai is now available with a new mighty engine and with a great amount of cosmetic change at front and rear side along with a few interior modifications with a price tag of Rs 3.48 lakh to 5.91 lakh (Ex-showroom,Delhi). The new Hyundai i10 christened 'Next Gen i10' houses the same existing powertrains but with a newly added technology that is Variable Variable Timing Valve Train (VTVT), incorporated to enhance power and performance of the heart of the car. The cosmetic changes include round headlights, lower but wider air-intake, single chrome finished horizontal slat at front radiator grille that houses company logo and a new design front bumper. The new Hyundai i10 now has stylish ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, height adjustable driver seat, full wheel cover and foldable key with keyless entry. The side view is contributed by body colour door rubber moulding and VTVT and Kappa2 logos. The rear side of the car has reserve parking sensors and new design bumpers. The cabin of the Hyundai i10 now has steering mounted audio controls and bluetooth control; the cabin has been equipped with USB port and AUX connection, instrument console is now vibrant blue instead of light green, two-tone dashboard, silver casing for audio, a digital fuel meter and a up shift-down shift indicator, etc are some other features. The company claims a mileage, for the 1.1 litre engine, to be 19.81 kmpl and 20.36 kmpl for 1.2 litre engine.
